Turnip Season

I’m digging in. It’s going to take a bit of cleansing, but I’m going to make this blog sing my simple song. This means I’ll be tearing out content, much of it that you may have enjoyed seeing here at one point or another.

But the fact is that contributions are at a minimum as is my time to manage anything other than that which I produce. So this particular wing of the Whale Time collective is going solo.

I will continue to link out and send shout outs to my posse. I will be giving all of their content back to them: Tip, Boo, Schmall, E., James, and other contributors. I strongly encourage them to start up blogs of their own and to feed their muse. I look forward to them doing something of their own on the Internet.

It’s so easy to do now. There’s no barrier to managing your own affairs via Wordpress, Tumblr, Posterous, and a host of other sites. Or if they don’t get to it (believe me, I know how hard it is to find the time), find most of them over on the Facebook. Except Sean. He’s fast becoming a Luddite. I talk to him now about as often as I talk to my grandma who doesn’t have a computer and rarely leaves Eau Claire.

This probably makes me a bad grandson and a bad friend. Yeah, I should give my grandma a call.

But Sean should really be on Facebook or something online. He has a great writing voice and photographic eye. He should be sharing these things with us. I’m sad that I don’t have time to do it for him anymore.
