Judd Apatow’s latest is not as terrible as Knocked Up but it still lacks something. The end game takes way too long to get to but it is a more believable ending than I expected. The preview shows most of the movie which is always too bad. There are some really good parts and if they cut 45 minutes I might have enjoyed it more. The funniest part though is that Adam Sandler does a routine at a MySpace gala and they say repeatedly “Fuck Facebook.” I don’t remember the last time I saw anything interesting on MySpace and thought they had pretty much given up.

Adam Sandler released his first big movie, Billy Madison, back in 1995. Thirteen years later, the teenagers that loved that movie just might have kids of their own now and can introduce them to a kid-friendly Adam. Scary. The movie is fun, and that’s all I expected from it. You know the plot is going to just be a matter of misunderstandings and that everything will work out in the end. I was glad that there wasn’t anything magical going on as far as why his stories are supposedly coming true. The fantasy scenes you see in the previews are just that. It is the story he is telling to the kids at the time. A good addition to Adam’s list.
